The Home Improvement Seminar
This marriage seminar utilizes lectures, discussions and role plays to help couples develop the skills necessary for a successful marriage. Based on the teachings found in Ephesians 5, strategies and principles are shared which can be used to enhance communication, resolve conflict, and renew love. This seminar is given over a weekend, with one 90 minute session Friday night, and three 60 minute sessions Saturday. Time is given for each couple to apply the information to their own marriages. A workbook is provided for each participant.
Session one: Strengthening the Foundation is an introduction to the importance of love and respect in marriage.
Session two: Tearing Down the Walls is an overview of why conflict occurs in marriage and what we can do to prevent it.
Session three: Restoration and Renovation focuses on skills necessary for rebuilding the marriage relationship.
Session four: Building a Haven focuses on understanding God’s design for marriage.
