People are difficult to understand; we do not understand why some people never recover from depression and others seem to overcome every problem they face. At times, it is even hard to understand ourselves. Why do we make promises to ourselves that we often break, or have great ideas that we never follow through on? We often say, “yes” to others, when we want to say, “no” and feel resentful because of it. Understanding people is complicated.
The goal of this seminar is to help us better understand ourselves and the people around us. There is not an answer to every question, but we would like give each person the tools they need to better understand their own life. We would also like each person to better understand how God is working in their life, even when our problems seem unsolvable.
Starting with the foundation of God’s original design, we will discuss the basis of our problems and find hope for change and growth. This seminar is focused on helping people better understand the complexities of individual, marriage and family problems and lays for the foundation for change to take place.
There are ten individual lectures in this series comprised of three separate sections. The first set of five lectures focuses on understanding how personal problems develop. The second set of three lectures focuses on how family problems develop, followed by two lectures on how marriage problems develop.
